Yesterday was a very special day for our little Violet.

David gave her the most beautiful blessing, and she wore the most beautiful dress that my mom made with her own two hands (thanks mom). I feel so lucky, and blessed as well. The day couldn't have gone any smoother and Violet was so sweet all day long.

This photo was taken 3 seconds after the blessing was finished, she was so alert and looking around at everyone...

Logan's beauty

A few days ago I went to Logan for a wedding. I love the way I feel when I drive into Cache Valley, like it's my second home. I love the open fields and the smell of cows (I know...). I love the small town, and all the memories I have there. Someday we'd like to move back and own lots of land.

poor little thing...

I had to take Violet in today to get her shots, and she wasn't the only one who ended up in tears... it broke my heart to see her happy little face turn frantic!

Now that it's over she's sleeping the day away. I just had to share my favorite new photo of her sleeping so peacefully.

Oh, she started smiling this week! I'll post pictures of her cute little dimples as soon as I capture it.

God bless America!

Last night David and I were privileged to attend the Oakley rodeo with my family. It was your classic American rodeo featuring all the cowboys and cowgirls you could ask for, accompanied by a lot of red, white and blue. Oh, and fireworks to top off the night!

Violet was oblivious to it all, but sure enjoyed the fireworks show... her eyes were wide open.

I had fun taking some snap shots as well.

memorial day
